CHELSEA

This 19th century single-family home in Chelsea, London, included the addition of a 16-foot-deep subterranean basement to address the space planning challenges of a long and narrow architectural footprint.

The kitchen and lower ground floor are open and modern, while the upper floors embrace traditional room proportions and details of Georgian design, re-dressed in a moody material palette.
